Before I get to my point I would like to just say that I am a total sucker for an animal in an outfit. I have no control of it. I guess I'm just wired that way. So on looking for a picture of a pug I couldn't resist this one of a pug dressed as a Mexican luchador. I apologise if you find it distasteful...
But the point is that the shoe reminds me of a pug. I'm not quite sure why, but there you go. There is something just a little strange about the proportions of it. It is both the height and the slimness of the heel that makes the balance a bit wrong with the amount of shoe it is wielding up front. But I am also drawn to it. With all the fetish, rocking horse shoes that there are currently out there (did I tell you that I tried a really high pair of shoes on at Selfridges and actually fell clean out of them, even before I attempted to walk in them?? They were so high they actually physically propelled me out of them as though there was an ejector button hiding under the insole that I unwittingly activated) I find myself looking very fondly upon any shoe that would look desperately out of place at Spearmint Rhino. I think a bit of primness might somehow be more subversive and sexy in these times of twenty four hour availability, don't you?
I think the solution would be to get your hoofs in there. Once ensconced they might start making more sense.
As to picking a shoe that looks like you, I don't really think that merits a response. Really!
