Cut From the Same Cloth

When I was a little girl my mummy dressed me in the cutest dresses. And I loved it. I was a very girly little girl and really would have been happy if I could have worn a party dress and patent leather ankle strap shoes every day.

Some of my favourite dresses were by Clothkits. And seeing those clothes is so evocative of my childhood. Look how cute they are.

So even though I might not particularly like this dress the fact that it reminds me of one of my favourite Clothkits dresses (I once had to go to hospital with a broken arm in it and was so relieved that the sleeves were wide enough and wouldn't have to be cut in order to put the cast on) makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

Re-e-fund When The Crowd Say Bo Seleeeecta!

You see this:
Well! Pull up a chair and let me tell you about what an unmitigated disastaire it was on me.

It makes me look like a lampshade. It is thrice valanced. It is too long. My ill proportioned shoulders want to burst out of it - literally, I swear I could hear the polyester straaaaining. It is at the same time weirdly baggy at the waist. All in all it is not a good look for me.
It is going back.
(The print, which neither of us could really make out from the Lilliputian image is lovely. But, you know, whatevs.)
