Hot Lips!

(Image via ME)

They are majorly cute old girl. And considering the sole is flapping about perilously on your current pair, may I suggest you hop (literally darling, I worry you may trip) over to KG and proffer your credit card toute de suite?

I have provided an artist's impression of how these pumps may look a year down the line when they too have developed a little mouth of their own, and I think you'll agree, they still look rather pretty. So yeah! Do it!

Flat Out

(Image via Kurt Geiger)

Goodness, I think I might have found my perfect summer flat. Aren't they a delight? I just wonder if the big whole hunk o' diamonds (I bet they're real) on the front is a deal breaker or not.

What say you oh, oracle of oracles?

Shriek!

The dress, (yes, the dress) the one that I took back is in the sale. Squeal!

Gok Off!

I feel rather as though my brain has been cooked by sitting in the sun at lunch. I am a little slooooooow this afternoon. I spent about 10 minutes gazing at your post wondering why you might be whispering about loving this item's sibling before trying to fathom what MFEO stood for. When I realised I actually yelled 'OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!' and whacked my head with my palm (which considering I bashed my poor little skull against the corner of a mable bar at speed last week, wasn't such a hot idea). WOAH that's a long sentence. Full stops when it's time to breath Hayley, remember that...

Anyway, I like it. And I am liking your Breton-ish top a lot too so the two together would be a combo made in mismatch heaven. I also find it encouraging that there were only the smallest sizes left...does that mean we're all in love with our bodies and size zero is over? Because then maybe Gok Wan will stop hosing down larger ladies with giant hoses in empty swimming pools whilst irritating old Mylene Klass gazes on inanely, and that can only ever be a good thing. Meanwhile you can order online!
I think I need a coffee.

That's Amore

I am IN LOVE with this skirt. I didn't know it at first. It took me by surprise.

At first I thought I loved its sibling, the playsuit

But that wasn't love, it was just a brief infatuation. It didn't love my more rounded bits, and if you don't love those then surely you can't love me. The skirt looks much more favourably on my rounded bits. Its a mutual thing. I think we might be MFEO. I would team it with my blue and white stripy top (I am wearing it today, you can see it at lunch) you know, to mix it up with the patterns. Oh, yeah!

And the worst of it is that I have been in the shop with it a couple of times and not really looked its way, but yesterday I thought why not give it a go. So I rifled through the rack to find my size, but no, what's this? No larger sizes? In Topshop? All sizes 6 and 8 and ooh, maybe a 10? Well you could knock me down with a feather! That's certainly never happened before. Honestly, the frustrations I have felt when there is something in Topshop I really like only to find after looking at fifty sodding labels that they don't have the size I need. Gah! Sort it aaaaaatttttttt!!!

Oh, where was I? Ah yes, the object of my affection... So on finding that it was not to be, that I wouldn't be able to take it home with me to live in glorious harmony, the truth and depth of my feelings were revealed to me. The scales fell from my eyes and I knew that I was done for.

So now, I sit alone, dreaming of a skirt. Will I ever see it again? Does it feel the same way about me? Oh God, the sweet, sweet torture! I can hardly stand it...

Seasonal Disorder

Darling, correct me if I am wrong, but it doesn't look like this outside, does it? In fact I think it is fair to say that we are quite some weeks from such an eventuality.
The temperature is increasing, the sun is shining, my opaque tights have remained in the draw and all for what? Because it is the beginning of summer. That is why. Our minds are on floaty dresses and the perfect glad, bikinis and sunglasses. Because it is the beginning of summer.
This undeniable truth seems to have passed by the notice of some retailers, because today I spied autumn collections in the shops. I kid you not. It is mid June. That is surely just a tad early, isn't it? I mean, lord knows I am a sucker for the autumn collections, but really? In June??

Really Darling, It's Too Too Much!

You know me, I love it precisely because you can see her actual bottom!

And actually, I find that outfit much less revealing than Heather Graham's dress from last week. I feel aware of so, so much after just a fleeting glance.

And I got nervous when I saw this shot of the cast fooling around for photographers at The Hangover premier.
(I am particularly amused by the 'look no hands!' gesture made by the chap in the nipple region. Ha!!)

I know that you can probably see almost her whole actual bottom from a certain angle but I think Leighton Meester looks incredible in this dress.

Skinnies You Say?! Allll whiiiiiite!

Woah! It's one of those days! Hooray!! I absolutely adore that shoe. I almost bought them myself last month actually, I do like an Oasis shoe. They always look way better than average high street fayre. I decided against them because they were a more taupe than grey and I was being overly specific in my shopping in an attempt to curb my recently horrific spending.

But they're glorious so get them. And go go go on the white jean too. Mega! Weirdly, my disagreement with the peg trouser is over too. A colleague mentioned that I looked like a glamorous painted 'n' decorator last time I wore them. FOR REAL! My mouth gaped open and I shrieked 'BUT I'M WEARING A LIP AND A HEEL FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!' to which he looked hurt and replied 'I did say glamorous'. Some PEOPLE!!

A Tribe Called Quest

I saw these in Oasis the other day. I find myself quite taken with them. They are fierce, and the colour is prettier than it looks here. I also feel that they might go really well with the skinny white jeans that I bought on Saturday. Yes! You heard me right! I really went there.

I fear they might be something that could be part of the "tribal" trend, though, and we all know how I feel about that.

Would you walk on the other side of the street if I wore these?

Like a Rolling Stone

That did make me laugh Kerr. If there's one person I cannot imagine draped in a boa with a floppy chapeau atop her bonce it's you and that can only ever be a good thing.

But really, surely even Bianca would have been a bit nearer the mark?

She was The Hotness though old Anita. Yikes!

French Fancy

Oh, I'm WITH you. Even in things like this where she looks like a slightly damp disco angel, I still think she is just maaaaarvellous.

Cor Lummy! Not Bleedin' Likely!

OK, when you think about me and my style what do you think? Hippy and bohemian? No, quite. I imagine you might be laughing now, quite hard in fact, at the mere suggestion.

I just innocently took a quiz to find out which fashion icon I am. I thought it would be a cute little thing to post about. So off I trot, happily ticking boxes about dresses and lady-like bags, imagining a Grace or an Audrey at the end of it, although a little more daring, a little more avant garde, so maybe Cate Blanchett perhaps.

I was not expecting ANITA PALLENBERG. Can you imagine a single thing less likely, more ridiculous? I am quite put out. Quizzes? Pah!

Maid Marion

(Image via Glamour)
Oh Marion, sigh! Gosh, you are terribly pretty, aren't you? And in that suit, so terribly, terribly chic. Look how everyone stares! I imagine that those men behind are commenting on what a "damn fine filly" you are! And they would not be wrong. Boorish, certainly, but not wrong.
It makes me feel good knowing that you are in the world, so beautiful and so stylish and yet so seemingly modest too. Bravo! I think you might well have made my day!

U - G - L - Y! You Ain't Got No Alibi; You Uggly!

Hey! Guys! Check this out! Another really great reason to THROW YOUR UGG BOOTS AWAY AND NEVER RESURRECT THEM! EVER, EVER AGAIN!!

Just a friendly suggestion...

Hmm, whatever did happen to Daphne & Celeste...?
