Bite Your Tongue
I don't thing there is much more to be said about Miley Cyrus and her cringe-inducing VMA performance. But dear lord if there is one positive thing that can come out of this can it be her realising that sticking your tongue out until you're about to be sick is really not very attractive?

Up in Her Grill
I'm not alone in really hating grills am I? Beyonce, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and now Madge. Let's stop the madness shall we?

Rise and Shine
Oh my gosh it's hot. I'm in London, at work, and it's sweltering.
If only I looked as delightful as this lady with a sweaty face. She definitely shines rather than sweats. I do not. Definitely sweaty. The make up is going to have to go. It is positively running off my face. I don't care what people say, no matter how much pressed powder you use nothing is going to stop it from heading south.
I wish I was lying by a pool supping cocktails. Sheesh.

Cold Shoulder
As a designer what do you think would be your worst nightmare? For me it would be to have Sharon Osbourne wearing one of my designs while making a fool of herself at the Brit awards.
Alexander McQueen probably don't need this sort of promotion.

Cry Me a River
Call me old fashioned, call me a snob but I really hold no sway with the high street showing collections on the catwalk as part of London Fashion Week.
Especially cheap high street.
But I suppose it was inevitable that Rihanna's hotly anticipated (?) collection for River Island would want to get the most attention possible.
So what of the result?
Personally I am really not a fan. It is cheap looking, unflattering on even the thinnest models and horribly 90s.
What do you think of it? More forgiving?

Over the Hills and Far Away
Lovely readers, I'm afraid I will be away for the next few days. I am going out into the wilds for a few days' walking.
It is set to be the coldest couple of days this winter. I might be certifiable.
I will, for the most part, not be figuring on the radar of the fashionably inclined. I do apologise.
But I'll be back next week, with the cobwebs well and truly blown away and raring to go for a fashion filled week before Christmas.
So I bid you adieu!

It was the Best of Times, it was the Worst of Times
(Image via Demonia.co.uk)
What are the items you really hate? You know, just can't abide, back your skin crawl?
For me I would say Uggs and Crocs would have to be way up there. But then I was reminded of these boots, these hideous, hideous boots by a girl walking past my office today. She was wearing what looked like an entire nation's requirement of fun fur on her head, which I suppose was some sort of animal-esque hat with neon green ears, a purple metallic bag shaped like a guitar and a pair of boots like these. Everthing else was black and non-descript enough not to attract much attention. Unlike her, and she was clearly enjoying all the weirded out stares she was getting. I know that I went through phases of wanting to look different, but fortunately I never went down this route.

What Kate Did
I imagine that this was something like the look on the D of C's face when a garish package of Kardashian Kollection for Dorothy Perkins landed on the door mat and was promptly sent back.
Ha! I couldn't imagine a less likely pairing.
But those girls ain't dumb because her rejection will probably get as much press as if she had (shudder) actually worn one of their skin tight monstrosities.

Pretty Please
I don't want to come across as being a jealous meanie, even though I am terribly jealous, of course, of these heavenly bodies, but shouldn't it be really tough for such beautiful women to look so terrible?
Three models at the MTV EMA's and three of the ugliest dresses in the world. Or at least two ugly frocks and one seriously ugly super hero ensemble. Poor Isabeli Fontana.

It just doesn't seem right for these beautiful women to be so ill served by their clothes. But I suppose they chose to wear them so on their heads be it quite frankly.

Skin Deep
Christopher Kane
Did you read about that survey that showed the cause of most women's buyers remorse was the leather trouser? Yes, they are a tricky beast at the best of times. My thighs though ensure that I will never even attempt to make the plunge.
I think the right pair of pins and the right pair of trews can be great in combination, but I don't think any pair of legs would look good in any of these.
Seriously, they are all hideous. Particularly the wide leg pairs.

Brad Publicity
Oh dear lord, Brad Pitt's advert for Chanel No. 5 is soooo bad, it makes my skin crawl. I really wish that he hadn't done that. He can't need the money that badly, surely.

Things 'Bout to Get Ugly
Goodness knows I love me a bit of Miuccia, but she has lost me with this ugly shoe ting for Miu Miu and Prada this season. She clearly isn't planning on selling any of these, right?
Not cute, missy! You are on a warning.
