And truly the best case scenario would be this. You know, grudgingly kind of cool, but definitely not for me.

But then I deeply appreciated a pair of boots worn by my lovely friend Helen Burnett  and blow me down with a feather if they weren't Timberlands.

Definitely, definitely desirable. Who would have thunk it?

I'm not alone in really hating grills am I? Beyonce, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and now Madge. Let's stop the madness shall we?

Keep Your Hair On

I know that Rihanna's Only Girl in the World video was out ages ago, but I've caught it on tv a couple of times recently, and I have to say I love the red hair.



The big red, curly, crazy Sideshow Bob style hair.



I hope she keeps it and doesn't go back to the severe black bob.



It's just so much prettier this way. Even if it isn't her actual hair.

I apologise for the delay and any inconvenience to your onward journey, but I tell you what it was all I could do to just keeping sitting upright and breathing yesterday, such was my hangover. One too many glasses of pink wine at our local on Thursday darling. Agh. However, I am now back in the room and it appears you managed just fine without me!

The glads you have bought are by far my faves. Those Balenciagas are just a variant on the theme of those revolting things that Rhianna was traipsing about in earlier in the year. They make me feel a bit weird every time I look at them. There's something a little....insectoid about them. And teamed with French manicured toes too! I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH I LOATHE A FRENCH MANICURED TOE. Why would you want your toes to look like little tiny fingers? WHY?

So well done for braving office and actually getting someone to serve you rather than gazing at themselves in the full length admiring thier hair and CHEWING. Always with the CHEWING! They're lovely and I think when it comes to a glad a gentle metallic is always a winner. I like the other pair too. Bravo that girl.

Contrary Bloody Mary's

Right. So. Last week I watched that film, whaddya call it. Damn it, I need to google it...hang on...Burn After Reading, that's it. Man! I love the God damn internet! Woo! Yeah!

So I watched that and I LOVED it. I even asked The Head if we could watch it again which caused him to tilt his head to one side like a little pooch. (He did not prick one ear up or wag his tail.) We didn't, I wasn't 100% serious, I mostly wanted to see the reaction I'd get. Which is an approach I might start applying to life in general akshully).

I'm taking an extraordinarily long time to say that I fell a bit in love with Tilda Swinton after seeing that film. And I get now how she can be forgiven turning up to so many events technically wearing costume rather than real live clothes. The woman is phenomenal. Well, I don't know HER but I mean she has rilly great skin and I like her voice a lot sooo...you know...PHENOMENAL! Anyway. For the first time I like what she is wearing. I'm not sure if it's because I like her voice or because I actually like her outfit, but who cares! Here it is:

Nice. So now Rhianna has taken over the mantle as Fashion Contrary Mary extraordinaire. I mean, for the love of GOD! Just piling on loads of random items that don't look so great by themselves does not a trendsetter make. No. I am bored of it already. And I like her voice too so there really is nowhere for RhiRi and I to go from here. Gah!

A Lot of Bang For Your Buck

Geez, these celeb types don't muck around at this event, do they? After the beautiful people have been playing it increasingly safe on the red carpet I feared that the fashion renegades weren't up to it anymore.

This event has proven to me pretty comprehensively that they are still out there.
