So Long!

I am off to New York where I am going to the wedding of my very dear friend Mia at the Full Moon Resort in the Catskills. Isn't it beautiful?

So CONC  and I will be a little quiet for a week and a half.

Let's meet back here on the 8th May.

See ya!

Wet Behind the Ears

The big hair trend for the summer has to be wet look.

It seems to run the gamut from lightly misted to sopping. And I love all variations.

Whether it is up, down, half wet half dry, severe, relaxed, feminine, relaxed.

While I think it could work for daytime on longer hair for short hair I think it is an evening only look.

So I have bought the acoutrements and I'm going to try it for the hen do in NYC on Saturday.

I'm pretty excited.

For the hen do and hanging out with my friends.

Not just to experiment with a new hair do.

Promise!

Hot Under the Collar

I can't begin to tell you how much I love the trend of wearing your  necklace under your shirt collar. Doesn't it look super cool?

Definitely buying more shirts to work this. And what's even better is that the louder the necklace the better it works which makes me happy.

Middle England

I really love the bralet trend. I think it looks terribly chic with a high waisted skirt as shown as Dolce and Gabbana and Prada.

I just wish that I had a midriff worth showing off. If I did I would be flashing it in this Topshop number as soon as the sun was out.

Come Clean

I love the clean lines and juicy colours of Raoul bags. They would be perfect for spring/summer.

About a Boy

What do you think of Alice Dellal in the Chanel Boy handbag ads?

I think she looks great, but I'm not sure if it is a great match.

I mean, how many girls who look like Alice, or want to look like Alice can afford Chanel?

And would the people who can afford Chanel be inspired to buy it by these ads?

Keeping Tab(itha)s

My new shoe obsession is Tabitha Simmons. Love these.

What a Heel

Have you seen these trainers from Be&D?

You know the trainers that are pretending to be high heels.

They amuse me. But if I ever saw anyone out and about in them I think I'd assume they were an idiot.

Follow Suit

OK, so what do we think of this? Silky patterned jumpsuit. It is for my friend Mia's hen do in Brooklyn. It is kinda dressy but also kinda insouciant, with a nod to the pajama trend.

But would something that needs to be unbuttoned be a total disaster in a situation where copious amounts of booze might be involved?

What are your thoughts?

Don't Fade Away

So we've had ombre clothes and ombre hair, and now thanks to The Beauty Department, my favourite - ombre nails.

Don't they look amazing? Totally trying this out. And I think I have enough pink varnishes to give this a go. Yay!

Une Belle Potrine

Did anyone watch the Channel 4 documentary about the auction of Elizabeth Taylor's jewellery last night?

It was really amazing. She really managed to wangle a lot of rocks out of a lot of men.

I think I love her.

Plus her taste was for the brash and in your face styles, which I can relate to, although mine is more in the costume rather than real arena.

I think I need to pick up some tips on getting very wealthy men to fall in love with me and buy me presents. That is definitely the part were Liz and I most certainly differ.

My favourite part of the documentary was listening to her favoured auctioneer's recollections and he described her famous bosom as une belle potrine which I think is just the most delightful description  of a nice rack I have ever heard.

Lost and Found

One of my favourite things about Bath is that it is home to some lovely independent boutiques. The best of which, in my mind, is Found. It is run by a delightful couple and they have some real treats.

Not least of which is the jewllery collection.

My favourite pieces are by Sabrina Dehoff and Wing.

I could very easily find myself in a lot of trouble in there.
