So Long, Farewell, Auf Weidersehen, Adieu

I am off on my travels again. I will try and post if I see something that catches my eye along the way, otherwise, until August...

Stuff and Nonsense

Phew! So I saved myself of the ignominy of lusting after those damn skinny cargos. Thank heavens I saw the error of my ways in time. I bought these instead. Hideously boring, I know, but they don't make my behind look the size of Texas and will help me through the sweltering heat of SE Asia.

But this delightful bikini caught my eye.

Isn't it the most? And actually substantial enough to keep me housed I suspect.

I don't think I really need it though, and it would probably be best to have at least some money for, you know, accommodation and, erm, sustenance while I'm out there. Right?

Leighton of the Land

Man alive! That is one whole hell of an outfit. Incredible dress. Gold trim up the wazoo (although I'm not so sure about the double cuffs). Beautiful breastplate necklace that clashes delightfully with the gold. Fabulous handbag and killer shoes.

Well, Miss Meester, it appears my faith in you has been rewarded. Ten out of ten. Everyone else within a fifty mile radius must have been seething with jealousy. Good girl!

Precious Cargo

(Via Topshop)

I think I might be sick. You know, I've got that travel bug and skinny cargo pants are looking kind of attractive to me. I think I might need some medication...

It Began in Africa

I'm really pretty in love with the prints from Asos Africa.

I have clearly taken leave of my senses because I think Amber Rose looks kind of awesome here.

Double Cross

(Via Accessorize)

All I want is a nice cross body bag for my travels that won't make me look like a crusty hippy or a posh gapper who thinks that the ethnic look makes her appear more authentic.

Is that too much to ask?

The Emperor's New Shoes

I know it wasn't that long ago since I was getting excited about the nude shoe. Well, I would like to publicly retract that statement.

Because I am so utterly booooorrreeedddd of them. I don't think a single sleb has graced the red carpet with any other hue of shoe in months. I can't take it any more.

Sweet pencil, though, Vicks.

Top Notch

Do you ever watch XXX's Next Top Model? Personally I am Ob. Sessed with it. It is the only thing that I watch fairly religiously. (Mostly because it is on Living that gives you about twenty opportunities to watch any programme so I don't have to compromise, you know, having an actual life.)

Well, I have always thought that our homegrown effort was supremely embarrasing. So super low rent in comparison with Tyra's that the only thing really worth tuning in for was the fisticuffs.

Well I think they might have solved the problem because last night's opener was AWESOME! Elle is a delight. And as much as I did enjoy Miss Snowdon, she is, or was, actually a top model. Which immediately helps you take it a bit more seriously.

Then Charley Speed managed to be both beautiful but also interesting and charming. WTF?!

But, sigh! The best thing? Grace Woodward. She is a revelation. So beautiful, stylish, knows what she's talking about and firm without being a bitch. I think I have a crush...!

Tomfoolery

Eek! I might be off to Singapore and Indonesia for a month next week. Oh the excitement!

I have read that some temples won't let you in wearing sandals, so I was thinking about an alternative that would still be comfortable and I have come up with these. Toms.

Hmmm, yeah, not so pretty, are they? But they are apparently just about the most comfortable things you can put your hooves into.

Crew Cut

You know when Michelle Obama was racing around looking fabulous with great arms and stuff and everyone was raving about how she wore J Crew and how utterly egalitarian and wonderful that made her? Well, to be honest, I didn't know what the fuss was about.

Re. J Crew, not Michelle. That woman has an untold capacity for hugging, and that's no bad thing.

But Net a Porter are stocking them. And I think I might get it now. This is a fairly perfect work outfit, wouldn't you say?

And this top is so pretty I could weep.

Celebrate Good Times, Come On!

Welcome back! And what an entrance! Ronsealed naked buttocks, no less! I salute you!

Well, I had the interview and wore a high waisted black pencil skirt and my breton stripes and peruvian silver necklace. Chic and smartish without feeling uncomfortable, especially as it was sweltering in London. Blimey!

So fingers crossed it will have the desired effect.

Who is the lady in the picture? Will you really be planning to barely veil your boobs and weigh yourself down with enough gold to sink a gallion? Can't wait!

Oh, and by the way, definitely not re you looking the colour of furniture stain man. Jeez Louise! You can see the god damned brush stokes... what the hell is that all about?

Never Knowingly Underdressed

Regarding the THING.  The chat/interview thing.  In my opinon, always better to be over dressed

than under.

Not that I'm suggesting in any way that you're going for thing about a job where you get your bottom out.  We'll leave that career path to me.

P.S.  Am I the same colour as that gentleman?  Sort of, Ronseal chic?

P.P.S I really like that first crossyovery frock.  Nice.

I'd do anything!

Look!  I'm here!  I've been skulking about for a while with nothing, NOTHING to say.  For real! Like an aesthetic mute. But I saw this picture:

and suddenly I was just full to the brim with joy!  God love her.  This will be me in 20 years.  Mark. My. Words.

(Inter)View to a Kill

So, I have this thing. That might be an interview, but might just be a "meet and talk things through" kind of thing. With people that I used to work with.

Should I go dressed as for an interview or smart but not necessarily office clothes? You know, like a nice dress and sandals, rather than a pencil skirt and top.

Any thoughts?

Brown as a (Glaston)Berry

(Image via The Guardian)

Did you hear Snoop refer to it as "Glastonberry"? That tickled me. As does his god awful knuckle duster ring. He looks like he could slice processed pork products on that and no mucking about.

Anyhoo, here are some choice Glasto outfits. Liking Sienna's jewellery.

And Pixie's skirt and belt and top combo. Not so sure about the hair.

And just love everything about Miss Laverne.

And Kate's dress.

And Jameela's oufit but hate the shoes.

And the opposite for Corinne.

(Images via Glamour)

And Alexa just looks cool and comfortable and not trying too hard which I appreciate.

The less said and Kate Moss's torn fishnets the better though, no?
