Tangled Web(ster)

I have a new shoe obsession. The crazy fabulous treats of Sophia Webster. Aren't they insanely wonderful?
And now it all makes sense. Because I just found out that she assisted my other shoe obsession - Sir Nicholas of Kirkwood. Ah-haaa!
I know they are kind of nuts but you just couldn't be blue with such a shoe on your foot.

This Daring Young Man on the Flying Trapeze

I have been admiring the Celine Trapeze bag in magazines but I saw it in the flesh over the weekend, and swoon! it is now a love thing! It is so beautiful I can barely contain myself. Plus these real life shots show just how incredible it looks in various finishes and with various different styles. Could there possibly be anything more delightful?

Delightful to Boot

I don't know if it's because it is raining.

Or because my autumn/winter obsession has started in earnest. (I have the Vogue and Elle catwalk supplements to slather over this evening. *Squeal!*)

But seriously, all I can think of is the boot.

Cute.

Black.

Chunky heeled.

Slightly mean.

Oh, yeah!

Louis Louis

OK, so after the Isabel Marant pointy courts I have found my next shoe of the season to lust after. The Louis Vuitton pointy toed delicate court with a stonking great chunky heel.

I think I might want these even more than the Marants.

There is something so appealing about the prettiness at the front and the sturdiness at the back. Particulaly when the sturdiness is covered in diamanté.

They suit that super femme look of the rest of the Louis Vuitton collection so well. Seeing as I am naturally all about the impressive frontage, small(ish) waist and child-bearing hips it would feel rude not to flaunt them the way that Mr. Jacobs has directed.

Oh gosh, I just yearn to be able to sling on a voluminous swing coat, long leather gloves, a pair of these shoes (but oh! which pair?) and grab a framed handbag as I trip out into the damp leaf-strewn autumnal streets of Paris as though I were staring in a fifties movie about a free spirited but aristocratic English girl looking to find herself, discover philosophy and fall in love.

Hmmm, am I reading too much into this?

Grace and Favour

Wow! I think I'm in love!

Looking at that picture of Grace Kelly in Rear Window in the post below my heart went fluttering around my chest like a school girl clapping eyes on Robert Pattinson.

I am reformed. I don't want to be a bad girl anymore. I want to be Grace Kelly.

Is it a terrible cliché to have a style crush on her Graceness?

Am I too much of a slutty mess to emulate such demure perfection?

Do I even care?

It is love and the heart wants what the heart wants.

And look at what she is reading... It's a sign! See!

So that's that. It's going to be gloves and perfect red lipstick from here on out.

Single White Female

Darling, I lost a few pounds while I was away. And I wouldn't suggest that there isn't still quite a lot of me, but I am feeling quite a lot more confident at the moment. And I am fairly determined to keep the weight off and keep on going.

So I bought some very tight skinny jeans from River Island, which I love, as a way of ensuring that the weight doesn't creep back on. I also bought some Nike burgundy quilted high tops which look amazing with the jeans. (They are tasteful, I promise you, you would love them...)

But I find that I might be cloning your style, because all I want to do is wear grungy mean girl t shirts with my skinnies and lots of silver jewellery and lots of black eyeliner. If I had any hair to speak of I would want to be bouffing it...

Is this ok? I want to swap my pink nail varnish for steel. I want to wear check shirts and a sneer. I want to put away my pretty dresses and just, you know, be nasty!

What's going on?

River Deep, Mountain High

If there is one thing that can be said for trekking through the snow-capped peaks of the Andes then it is that the increased definition in a girl's legs can work wonders for her confidence.

Of course, it is not possible to say just one thing but I think the picture speaks for itself. And yes, Mrs. Rowan, I will soon quiet down about my trip, I promise.

I will not quiet down about the legs though. I wore a mini dress yesterday and onlookers (mostly male, it has to be said) were nearly falling at my feet in their eagerness to get an eyeful. It never ceases to amaze me how men can be absolutely captivated by a pair of pins. Even through 50 denier.
On my way home yesterday I accidentally managed to acquire three new minis, which I would love to share with you here but they are from River Island, who won't let me download pics, so you will just have to take my word on how simply ripping they are. Until I see you, and then you will know!

The mini, and more specifically the tulip mini, is my new obsession. Quite how I will feel when the weather warms up and I have to lose the opaques we will see as and when. But at the moment I am as happy as a clam!
