Here Comes the Bride

OK, you don't need to tell me, I know that as a single girl with not even a glimpse of a potential date on the horizon, looking at dresses and thinking "I would love to get married in that" marks me out as being completely insane, but I just can't help it, this dress is beyond lovely.

You really would just feel like the most special girl in all the world, wouldn't you? I mean, on top of the whole promising to spend the rest of your life with the man you love thing. I know it's not just about the dress.

I promise.

Copp-o-load of This!

Now there've been some weddings this year. The D of C, Zara, erm... some other royals, Kim Kardashian, Petra Ecclestone...

But the best dress? Hmmm. Now you know I loved the D of C's. Loved it. But it is no longer the winner. And while Petra Ecclestone's reportedly cost £130,000, it didn't get my vote either.

So whose? Whose?! I hear you yell. Well, I'll put you out of misery, because I'm sure you Just. Can't. Guess.

Uh-huh, Sofia Coppola's. Obviously. She's just the coolest bride that I've seen in pretty much forever. Seriously, look at her. That skirt it is just so swooshy and marvellous. I want it.

And then she changed into a lovely red frock. Understated, elegant.

And just so pretty and happy. What more could any bride ask for? Except having Alaia on speed dial to whip up a frock for you. Lucky girl.

I dream of Jeanie

Kerr! The Seaberg crop is working wonderfully for you darling. You look AWESOME right now. But hell! Don't listen to Jeanie when it comes to a wedding frock. Woah!
Whilst on this website I also found out that Mia Farrown was married to FRANK SINATTRA. I did not know this. How can I know that half of electropop synth duo La Roux, Elly Jackson is the spawn of June Ackland and yet not know this?

Its a nice day for a....

It's wedding central over here. I spent the ENTIRE morning yesterday searching for trailing ivy to drape artfully about a candelabra for J & D's wedding in two weeks time. I have been quiet about this one because I have the outfit sorted pretty much. Did I just hear you cheer? It'll be the grey version of the Rachel Stevens worn properly to make it look, you know, good.

Thank you Rachel, that will be all.
So in the course of searching for foliage, I spent HOURS trawling through wedding blogs. (Who knew there were so many?!)

When I allowed The Head to marry me it was a low key affair. It was in the garden, I was a barefoot bride and there was a hog roast for dinner.*

For the renewing of our vows however, (I mean every body's at it, why not?!) I want something like this:

HOW AMAZING DOES THIS HOT BRIDE LOOK? Especially about the shoulder region. Nice nice niiiiice!! I do worry about her strolling off down that grassy bank though, probably in a heel. Things like that never end well in the Story of My Life. They usually end in some kind of injury and an overly muddy hem.
*Despite the fact that I was a vegetarian at the time. When I pointed this out to Mama she replied 'It's not all about you darling.' Errr...EXCUSE me?
