Cut and Run

Balenciaga

When the cut-out and be-buckled Balenciaga came out (was it last winter?) I thought they were hideous.

But with time and exposure to them (or the same style at any road) in real life situations I am starting to really like them.

A major influence was a young lady I have been working with who was wearing them with dresses and looking really super feminine but tough, which is a style of dressing I have an awful lot of time for.

Jil Sander

I have to say I'm tempted.

KG Kurt Geiger

Not having loads of money at the moment is kind of a blessing because I really can't buy anything. So I can fantasise, mull things over without having to commit to a particular look. While I suspect I would never be brave enough to wear these, in my head I'm wearing the hell out of them and looking pretty awesome at the same time, thank you very much.

If some money ever trickles in sufficiently to fund a shopping trip I'll see if I am still so enamoured.

Picture Perfect

Having spied another heavenly pale pink coat (this one from Jigsaw) I realise just how much I love the Jil Sander autumn winter collection.

I know I keep banging on about it, and I'll try not to do it again, but I think it deserves another look to confirm that it is utter perfection.

Bury Your Head in the Sand(er)

Oh, sigh! I loved this Jil Sander on the catwalk and I love it equally now it is for sale. So pretty. Swoon!

Tickled Pink

Officially top of my autumn winter wishlist is a baby pink coat. In my dreams it would be one of these Jil Sander fantasy coats, but in reality I will have to scour the rails for a high street alternative. But seriously, if I only buy one thing...

Aren't they heaven?

Pep(lum) Rally

I am aware that there were peplums on skirts at Jil Sander. Lovely brightly coloured skirts.

And what I thought were peplums on trousers. But honestly it didn't occur to me for a second that the peplum might be bought as its own unit, independent of any other item of clothing.

It's like a god-damned body scrunchie.

And you can pay £320 for the privilege.

You know what? I think I'll pass.
