Why do I like being mean to myself? Because I am properly craving a pair of dungarees to wear with a white t shirt and plimsolls. And I know that's not going to be a good idea...

Titfer Tat
So I went hat shopping at The British Hatter in Bath on Saturday and I found myself a real treat from by Whiteley hats. It is quite similar to the one above (also by Whiteley). And once I had bought it I started thinking about what would work with it. And I thought how nice a white/cream suit would look.
Now I know why. I was aping the D of C. And she does look marvellous in it, but I don't want everyone to think that I am stealing her style. So what I think I will try and find is a floral dress that has some neutral tones in it instead.

Oh my days I want to look as good in a cropped top as Zoe Saldana. Perfection.

Nights in white satin
(Via bjonesstyle.com)
I am going to a wedding in July and it calls for a hat. How great to get married and insist that all the women have to wear a hat. It's like being a sartorial dictator! I love a hat, so I am very pleased. But I will not be going for a fascinator, haven't you heard from Philip Treacy? Dead. As a dodo.
And I rather think that a wide brimmed formal wedding hat is the domain of the older lady. So what I am thinking is something pared down. Right down. I am thinking of the turban. A super chic satin one that I have my eye on.
I just wonder if I have the cojones to carry it off.
Five Star
I have just walked 84 miles of Hadrian's Wall in Cumbria and Northumberland. And do you know what? My feet don't half hurt. So much so that I am wondering whether these hideous toe-shoes might make them feel better. I really hope the pain goes before I have to resort to them. Can you just imagine? I would have to pretend that I had never had an interest in fashion. I might as well just resign myself to a life wearing Crocs.
PS. That last thing would never, ever happen. Just so's you know.
